Assumptions and expectations often vary from one country to another and from one culture to another (from communication to the way of maintaining relationships, from a sense of humour to the value of a contract).

It is necessary to acquire fundamental knowledge about what is "normal" in other countries in order to be able to work successfully in an increasingly globalised world.​ Therefore, we need to have information in order not to make mistakes, as well as know the correct sources of information.
